"I Don't Want to Cry Anymore"

Writer's picture: Donovan EdwardsDonovan Edwards

This is a song that I think all of you can relate to. We all have been made to feel less.

Verse 1. Who is right, and who is wrong? Who am I to say?

We all sing the tune of a different song. I believe God meant it that way.

Thall shalt not judge lest ye be judged, that's how it should be.

Yet we all know it just doesn't work that way. Not in this society.

Chorus: But I don't want to hide anymore. It's time to tear those doors that you and I have been forced to hide behind. Oh, we all should have equal rights, let's not allow that to be denied. Let's all take a stand and show the world our pride!

Verse 2: Black is black, and white is white, red, and yellow too.

We're all precious in God's eyes that much I know to be true.

Oh, don't waste your time on those who hate. It will only bring you down.

Fuck all of those who discriminate. Speak up, stand up, and stand proud!

Chorus: Cause I don't want to cry anymore, those useless tears that fall to the floor. Let's take a stand, life is worth fighting for! We're all special in our own ways. Believe me, when I say, God loves us all and he doesn't discriminate.

Verse 3: Who is right, and who is wrong? Who am I to say?

We all sing the tune of a different song. I believe God meant it that way.

Black is black, and white is white, red, and yellow too.

We're all precious in God's eyes that much I know to be true.

Chorus: I don't want to cry anymore, those useless tears that fall to the floor. Let's take a stand, life is worth fighting for! We're all special in our own ways. Believe me, when I say, God loves us all and he doesn't discriminate.

Who is right, and who is wrong? Well, who am I to say?
